Who is responsible for your information?
I am Ali Ezzati, an independent product designer based in Türkiye and the person responsible for personal information collected through this portfolio and related enquiries. For privacy questions or requests, contact ali.eazzatii@gmail.com.
What I collect and why
When you enquire about working together, I receive the name, email address, message, project details and budget information you choose to provide. I use these details to respond, discuss your requirements and, if we proceed, prepare and manage our engagement. Please do not send passwords, card information or sensitive personal data in an initial enquiry.
Information is collected electronically when you send a message or email and when your browser requests a page or download. Hosting and security infrastructure may process technical information such as IP address, request time, browser information and requested pages to deliver the website, diagnose errors and prevent abuse.
How the contact form works
The contact form uses Web3Forms to process and deliver your enquiry to my Gmail inbox. Your form details are sent to Web3Forms when you submit them. Web3Forms and its infrastructure or spam-prevention providers may also process technical information, including IP address and email address, for delivery and abuse prevention. Google processes the resulting email in Gmail.
Web3Forms operates internationally. Its privacy policy describes its providers and retention practices, including retention of submission data for up to three years unless a shorter plan-specific period or earlier deletion applies. This is separate from the correspondence I retain in Gmail.
Reasons for processing
For ordinary business enquiries and site security, I rely on the legitimate interests of communicating with prospective clients and protecting the website, where those interests do not override your rights. Information needed for an agreed engagement is processed to establish or perform that contract. Records may also be retained to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal rights. These purposes correspond to the relevant conditions in Article 5(2) of Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. Where processing requires consent, it must be obtained separately; reading this notice does not itself provide consent.
Who receives information
Information is shared only as needed with providers that support website hosting, enquiry delivery and email, or where a lawful request or obligation requires disclosure. Gmail is provided by Google. Details of Google’s handling of personal information are available in its privacy policy. I do not use enquiries to enrol you in a newsletter or sell your contact information.
Processing outside Türkiye
Email and other service providers may process information outside Türkiye, including in countries where their infrastructure or support teams operate. International transfers are subject to the applicable requirements of Turkish data-protection law and any other law that applies. Contact me for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to respond and manage the discussion. If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, relevant correspondence may be retained with the project and contractual records. Retention depends on whether the relationship remains active, applicable accounting or other legal requirements, and any need to resolve a dispute or protect legal rights. Information that is no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted or anonymised. You can contact me to request deletion, subject to records that must lawfully be retained.
Cookies, downloads and external services
This version of the portfolio does not use advertising pixels or a marketing analytics service. Browser storage may be used by the page interface, and the hosting or security provider may use technical mechanisms needed to deliver and protect the site. If optional tracking is added, this notice and any required choices will be updated before it is enabled.
The free book preview downloads directly from this website; no email address or mailing-list registration is required. Book purchases take place on Contra and call bookings take place on Calendly. Those services collect information under their own notices when you follow the links. This portfolio does not collect payment-card details.
Your rights and requests
Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698, you may ask whether your personal data is processed, request information about the processing and recipients, seek correction, and request deletion or destruction when the legal conditions apply. You may also request that relevant corrections or deletions be communicated to recipients, object to adverse results produced solely by automated analysis, and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Send privacy requests to ali.eazzatii@gmail.com with enough information to identify your enquiry and explain what you are requesting. Identity verification or an additional legally required request method may be necessary. Requests will be handled within the applicable legal time limits. You may also use the complaint procedures available through Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), or another competent authority where applicable.
